The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation has named Chelsea Berkley, M.D., a clinical assistant member in the foundation’s Arthritis and Clinical Immunology Research Program. Berkley is board certified in neurology and sees patients in OMRF’s Multiple Sclerosis Center of Excellence. She completed a neurology residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2018 and joined OMRF’s faculty this month.

U.S. Cellular has promoted Johnny Rucci to retail store manager for its Oklahoma City location at 6310 SW 3 Street. Rucci has three years of experience in the wireless industry and five years of sales experience. He recently served as a retail wireless consultant with U.S. Cellular.

McAfee & Taft has further expanded its Intellectual Property Group with the addition of Robert E. Stevens. In addition to being a registered patent attorney, Stevens is a former electrical engineer who brings to the firm more than 14 years of diversified manufacturing experience and a wealth of hands-on technical knowledge of product design, quality engineering and production processes while working as an engineer and design team manager for a number of Oklahoma-based manufacturing companies. Stevens earned his associate’s degree in electronics from Eastern Oklahoma State College in 1998, his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University in 2005, and his Master of Business Administration from Northeastern State University in 2010. He graduated magna cum laude from the Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2019, where he was the recipient of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation Chapman-Rogers Scholarship and a CALI Award in Civil Procedure. Stevens’ prior career experience also includes serving as an infantry squad leader in the Army from 1998 to 2002 and as an adjunct professor of electronics at ITT Technical Institute.

Sandy Coats has been named senior counsel overseeing the legal needs of Boeing’s Aircraft Modernization and Modification (AMM) global business and as the Boeing Oklahoma City site director. Before joining Boeing, Coats was a director at Crowe & Dunlevy law firm in Oklahoma City, where he was the chairman of the Criminal Defense, Compliance & Investigations Practice Group. Coats previously served as the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma. Prior to his appointment as U.S. Attorney, Coats served as an assistant U.S. Attorney and chief of the major crimes section for the Western District of Oklahoma. Coats received his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in economics from Tulane University.

Lynn Blankenship has joined First Liberty Bank as vice president of the healthcare banking division. After a successful 30-year tenure as a banking professional in Oklahoma City, Lynn relocated to Hot Springs, Arkansas, and began volunteering at a non-profit medical clinic. She later became chief financial officer and then executive director. Blankenship earned an Associate Degree in finance with an emphasis on banking from Oklahoma City Community College and attended the Commercial Lending School at Oklahoma Banker’s Association.

David Braly has joined Union State Bank as executive vice president and Edmond market president. Braly graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. He has more than 37 years of banking experience and more than 20 years of banking leadership within the Edmond area.

Collin McCarthy has joined Ogletree Deakins’ Oklahoma City office as an associate. McCarthy graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in May 2019, with distinction. While in law school, he served as editor-in-chief of the Oil and Gas, Natural Resources, and Energy Journal and received the journal’s outstanding case note award. McCarthy graduated magna cum laude with a degree in political science from the Oklahoma State University Honors College.
