FOX & Friends’ co-host, Kilmeade, told SurvivorNet he believes in Bongino, saying: “It’s always terrible to hear anyone has cancer, especially your friends. If there’s anyone that can take on this challenge and prevail, its Dan! He has a rare combination of toughness and kindness, which I truly believe inspire his friends and fans around the country, many of which are going through their own challenges in their own lives.”

Bongino’s Lymphoma

At the end of September, Bongino found a tumor on his neck. Initially, he wasn’t concerned because the host says he has gotten lumps on his neck before, and they’ve always been lipomas (fatty lumps that are usually harmless but can sometimes be cancerous).

The 10-centimeter by 7-centimeter tumor on his neck was removed in surgery, after which Bongino shared he had been diagnosed with cancer. Bongino has been candid with fans and has documented his cancer journey. When he had his tumor removed, he showed fans his scar and wrote: “I’m out of surgery & I feel good. They removed the whole tumor from my neck. The bad news is, it looks like lymphoma.”

After updating fans on Instagram, Bongino took to the airwaves, too. In a vulnerable and brave moment, he said to listeners, “Just a little bit of bad news on a personal note, we did get a diagnosis yesterday from my doctor; I know my audience, you have been amazing.”
